Who We Are

Bringarthome.com is a website that features video and written instruction designed to help visitors improve their art skills and/or teach the concepts of art. We are a company based in the United States, owned and operated by Suzanne Hanks.


Visitors to this website can do so without revealing any personal information.


However, if you purchase live lessons, camp or workshop, register on the forum, or become a member, you may be asked to provide additional information such as your first and last name, and your email address. This information is securely stored on this website. Additionally, if you join our mailing list or make a comment on the blog or in the membership area, this information may be required and is also securely stored.


No financial information or physical addresses are stored on the site.

We’re a really small business and so we’re not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer but our chief, Suzanne Hanks, will be taking on all data protection duties and you can reach her here.

3.1 Online Forms

We collect the personal information you voluntarily provide to us, which includes your name and e-mail address, in order to subscribe to our newsletter, receive our free content, comment on our blog, purchase memberships, and/or purchase in-person services.


3.2 Customer data

We collect name, email address, address, and telephone numbers if you make an online purchase of our products and/or services. This information is held securely in our website database. Credit Card numbers are collected directly via our Card Processors Stripe who are Level 1 PCI compliant meaning they are really secure. Or through Paypal who are Level 1 PCI compliant as well. We do not store this information at all.  


3.3 Website Visitor Tracking

To give you insights on your visitors, the built-in analytics in our website system, Simvoly, uses cookies and sends information regarding visitor's screen, browser, device and visited pages to our servers. You have the option to disable such reporting HERE

If you are a member of our online membership and have a user profile on our website we collect information in our website database which allows us to track how frequently members access the site and what are the most popular pages. This allows us to improve and develop the online School for the benefit of the members. The data is linked to the personal user profile but we don’t view it at that level. Instead, we only use it in order to build higher level, non-personalized, statistics. If you stop being a member and wish to have your user profile deleted, you can email us to ask us to do that.


3.4 Email updates

If you choose to receive Bring Art Home’s email updates, your email address will be stored in Mail Chimp which is the app we use. MailChimp is a third-party email processor. At any time you can unsubscribe from our emails either from within any email you receive from us or by emailing us.


3.5 User Profile Data

If you become a member of our online School you will set up a user profile in the profile area of our website. Your profile is held securely in our website database and we would only access it in order to help solve an IT issue if you had one or to push a password reset if you needed it. If you cancel your membership, you can email us to request that we delete your user profile and all related data. We need to up to 60 days for that to be completed.

We collect information about you to understand your needs and provide you with a better service. Specifically, we use your information for:
